However, after escaping, he reveals his true name as Matthew Bennett (Daniel Stern) and becomes engaged to Dr. Anne Moser (Annette O'Toole), who believes she and John are engaged and soon has them married. However, later on, Dr. Anne begins to realize what John has done to himself and she breaks off their engagement after realizing he only wants to see his past again, not her. However, the real Matthew Bennett reveals that he is actually still alive and he dies in a car accident before his tale of conspiracy could come true.Murder 2 Man was directed by Roman Polanski, who also directed Roman Polanski's Macbeth.
